Above the shops

As I waited on the corner in Chester thinking about the old (often historic) buildings above the modern shop fronts, I took a picture of the sky reflected in a large window. I guess this has always been a commercial building; the decorative brickwork and stained glass indicate a very successful business.

Sadly, many of the shops are the same in every high street but the architecture above the shops creates a distinctive buzz in Chester.
