World Tour of Scotland - 5 Ullapool
Yesterday was a day of beaches, today was a day of mountains, huge craggy ones. Steep rock rising up in front of us. Every corner exposing a new vista, a new experience of Scotland for me. We were making our way from the north west corner of Scotland at Durness down to Ullapool. The road was very bumpy which resulted in things being flung out of the caravan's lockers!
The blip shows one of the pretty views along the A894.
We should have been spending 2 nights at Ardmair Point, a nice beach location but there was to be a wedding party there of owners family, so we politely declined, not wishing to be disturbed by revellers. Instead we are right beside the ferry terminal in a busy site but nice and tidy, still with a view of the loch. View from caravan in Extra.
Unfortunately we chose to have showers this afternoon. Big mistake! There is only hot water in the mornings.
