Will You Play With Me?

The weather and low tide augured well for a return visit to the East Coast, along the geology trail from Whitesands Bay to the Barns Ness Lighthouse. We have been before but had less time to observe the fossils and varied rock formations. We arrived fortified, as before, by coffee and buns at the popular Tyninghame Smithy cafe. 

Having completed our studies we took a stroll along the beach, where a collie (a total stranger) politely requested demanded we throw this stick into the sea for him (well, it might have been 'her', we didn't look too closely), and he/she enjoyed it so much they brought it back several times. He/she reminded us of Mollie, the Gorgeous Collie so we couldn't refuse but I reckon he/she was just showing off! . Eventually their owners whistled the dog back and we were allowed to continue our walk.
