Cake, big 3

Little one turned the big 3 today. Yes it is a cliche to say I can't believe it, where did the time go etc etc. But on the other hand I can believe it. She is smart and funny and definately a 3 year old and not my tiny baby anymore. 

Blessed with sunshine again for her birthday (I think that's every year now, including being born in glorious heatwave) so we went to Heads of Ayr farm park and had the best day out in ages. Absolutely perfect and such great animals! Talking parrots and enormous Mongolian camels. 

Family party is tomorrow. I'm already exhausted. She wanted a princess cake. I am awful at baking and decorating so here is my cheat. A Tesco tray bake, topped with an amazing find of princesses in the Oxfam shop, and upside down ice cream cones for turrets. Easy, but I'm very pleased with myself. Hope she likes it for tomorrow!
