Lauriston Castle

After 21 years living in Edinburgh I’d never visited Lauriston Castle, just 2.5 miles from home.

Today, sun shining I walked there and enjoyed the gardens & grounds with views out to the Forth. The Kyoto friendship garden is lovely but cherry blossom not yet out. A return visit next week.

This is a statue of Diana, the Roman goddess of the hunt ... I guess her bow and arrow have been lost over time. The nearby heron was probably grateful.
