From the pottery archives....
It has been another dreary day here....some snow overnight and now rain. Perhaps the biggest drawback to this new reality is boredom.......lots of laying down to rest my back - but i am reading a lot! Just finished a wonderful book about the life of Modigliani....that was awesome! now a new book started.....In Falling Snow, by Mary Rose-MacColl and so far so good. then there are stretches and exercises to do..... and of course i am getting time to paint. but sometimes i just feel kinda trapped in here! A bit like it felt when i was recovering from knee surgery.....i've even taken up walking 15 minutes up and down the living room, just like when i used my walker.
so i walked over to the pottery studio, to check on the mugs i made ... almost 2 weeks ago....to make sure they are still in a trimmable state, and luckily there are!
this little piece hangs in the window. i used to make these hanging candle holders many many years ago....i loved the addition of the beads but they were rather labor intensive so didn't sell well at all. i kept this one for own records.
