Shy....

As far as I can tell there are three pairs of Jays that visit from the wood at the bottom of the garden, but normally as soon as I lift the lens or even think about it, they move off.  It was a nice bonus today when this one seemed unaware of me as he just sat there, taking it all in.

We went to a celebratory birthday meal yesterday evening where the fare was a tasting menu with different gins instead of wine.  The evening itself was fun because our friends are always good company but I think the odds of it being something we might do on a regular basis are very slim.
