Bula Beqa

Only for Talpa yesterday I would never have known that this little bowl, brought back from Fiji by my stepdaughter, is called a tanoa.
It's a pretty little thing in a rustic kind of way, with four legs for steadiness and carved from a single piece of timber.

We will be away to Espoo, about two hours journey by train and metro, very shortly. The first of three visits for the Espoo Jazz Festival. Tonight it's an outfit named Kaisa's Machine.
Next Wednesday it will be E.S.T. Symphony and Saturday, The Bobo Stenson Trio. The latter two should be great gigs. Tonight's combo is new to me but the tickets were relatively inexpensive.
