A morning walk in the forest at Whinlatter. 

Then coffee in the cafe at the visitor centre. Gosh, it was pricey and with cake would have been well over the £10 I had. Might be taking a flask next time. 

We saw our first bees and butterflies of the year and it was nice to see the gorse in flower. I don't know why it's so difficult to photograph. 

Around 6pm there was a loud noise and thought it was the neighbours banging a door. Later when I went upstairs I found the cause - a big mark on a newly cleaned bedroom window meant a bird had flown into it. Nothing below so hope it had flown away ok.
