Cool As A Cuckoo

I spotted this bird cooling itself in the bird bath this afternoon and at first thought it was a pigeon. On looking closer, I think it's probably a cuckoo - based on the shape of the beak, the ring round the eye and also the colour of the eye. Anyway, I'm posting it on Facebook so one of my birding friends can confirm or deny this - quite exciting to see a bird up close that you haven't encountered before!
Postscript: this has now been definitively identified as a female blackbird - but I am getting better at recognising her!
