Magnificent magnolia

This is the big magnolia in the botanics, the one that blooms before it pops out any leaves. The flowers are huge and fleshy and pink and magnificent. 

I had a lovely morning round the gardens before meeting a friend for lunch and then picking up the bike after its spring service. 

Life is all go.
