Parents Day

I skipped school today to try to find out what is going on with my parents. I have been really worried.

First I went to Holbæk to see my mum. She was so poorly. At first I wasn't even sure that she recognized me, but she did. She was just too tired and unwell to react.

I talked to the doctor and she said that if my mum agrees (and luckily she did), they will start dialysis treatment tonight as her kidneys aren't working. Her kidneys weren't working as well as they should before and then the hip replacement operation and all the drugs she had in connection with that was a shock for them. The doctor says that usually in cases like this, the kidneys will slowly recover from the shock and start working again within some weeks so that is what we are hoping. Please keep praying for her.

I stayed with my mum for an hour, then I walked the dogs in the area around the hospital and went back to my mum.

In the afternoon I continued to Næstved to see my dad. Luckily he looked ok and said he was beginning to feel better too. It will take a while before he is ready to drive a car though.

Now the boy and I + Bridie are home and ready for a restful evening. It has been an emotional day.
It is a cold, wet and windy autumn night, so the best thing to do, is to watch some TV under a big pile of dogs.

Today's picture is of the boys outside the hospital. It was raining and cold - which was fine when we were walking, but they weren't too keen to be asked to sit and pose for the camera!

Night night, Blippers.
