The view from the top
A strange day. A sad morning as I attended the funeral of an ex-parent with two of my collegues. She died tragically leaving a 6 year old son, but the minister somehow managed to turn the occasion into something hopeful and joyful, without skirting around what had happened to her.
Cobwebs needed blowing away - we headed off to Gortnakilla to the coast, travelling across the mountain. The light was amazing. This is the view from the top looking down into Bantry Bay. Worth biggifying to see the cluster of ruins and tiny tractors.
Shaken but not stirred we returned from Bantry without having seen Bond - totally sold out! We met two lots of friends also muttering outside. Plan B - tickets booked for tonight.
