A slice of Lesley's life

By Lesley

With a little* help from my friends

I danced, drank and laughed the night away until my birthday showed up around 1am and we fell out onto the streets of Soho in search of a taxi. Ended up at 'dodgy cabs' (not really, just our name for them) who have taken us home so many times in the past I could be mistaken for thinking it was my 25th we were heralding in. Fifteen years later and my carriage still awaits. So I guess actually 'highly successful cabs' should probably be their new moniker.

So here are Carl and Ali - lead singer of the Allie Catz - doing a quick check of the set list before providing some fine rocking tunes to fill the dance floor, leaving me only the minimum amount of dance bullying to do.

Other friend(s) to thank is whoever took this shot with my camera - and all those who took photos during the night. I am having a lot of fun editing them and am very grateful to have so many images of the night that I wouldn't have without you. I suspect I know who took this one and if he's reading this and I'm right - thank you!

Was tempted to use the picture my sister-in-law sent me of my dad with a great Piccadilly Circus backdrop holding a fender strat. Apparently someone came up to her and asked if he was a celebrity and they should be taking a picture too!

And so ends Birthday Part I.
