An inspiring thought

I was speaking at the Leith branch of the SNP last night at the invitation of their local, energetic and enthusiastic MSP Ben MacPherson.

I wish I had recalled  the old burgh’s motto for my contribution because the word “persevere” pretty much sums up what we were discussing with regard to Brexit.

However I was only reminded of the word and it’s significance to the place when I was walking back to my flat up Leith Walk and came upon this piece of street art, drawn on the pavement at the corner with Albert St.
