Someone's Mouth Hurts

Thursday was an Orthodontist appointment after school.  We had to make some decisions about the next course of action.  A couple of her teeth on the upper jaw are smaller than normal, so they wanted to make more space next to them, and build them up (and later get veneers) .....OR.....take a teeny weeny part of her enamel off of a few of her teeth on the lower jaw.  Decisions...decisions.  We went with the second option.  The tooth shaving will be very minimal, and it won't take off more enamel that usual wear.  This is the easiest option, with no possible need for further action in the future.  Crossing my fingers we made the right choice.  The sad face in the photo....her teeth hurt a lot after this appointment, as her wires were out of her braces while we discussed, and then larger wires were put in....and bam.....lots of movement right away.  Poor girl.
