Dunters

Still breezy, but a lovely warm and sunny day.  Clouded over this evening, and most on the hills, bringing a chill.

I've been working on the museum desk all day.  It's been a busy day with events in the auditorium.  There was a good number of visitors about too.  Big Brian and Madeline popped by to see how the garden project is coming along, before I headed off to work in the pub.  Shift changed tonight, early start and early finish.  Mam came over, and we headed out for a walk with Sammy, before a cuppa.

I popped down the road at lunchtime for a walk, a lovely day to be out.  I wasn't the only one enjoying the sunshine, the wildlife was too.  These two Dunters (Eider Ducks) were getting cosy in the sunshine, well at least until I arrived!  Our poor bird population has taken a down turn these last years, just hope all birds have a successful summer ahead, including these two.  Taken at Aithsvoe pier, Cunningsburgh.
