School or Prison?

It's hard to tell which!
These gates are built into the basement of a local high school which is due for demolition this Summer, when all of its pupils will move to a brand new campus along the road. Its an ugly monstrosity of a building, flung up in the 1960s when they thought high rises were a good idea. It looks even worse inside, as doors, corridors and even entire classrooms succumb to the lack of maintenance now that the end is so near. My daughter goes here for choir one evening a week, I'm quite glad she doesn't spend all her school days here too.
