The King Center posted a photo this evening of Barbara Bush seated next to the late Coretta Scott King.

Barbara Bush checked out of her ”earth suit” today and entered Eternity. She was 92 years old. I believe she was ready. A grand day for her, and a sweet but sad day for her family. Sweet that she is no longer uncomfortable nor in pain, but sad that she is no longer here with them.

She was the second woman in American history to be both the wife of a president and the mother of a president.

The Bushes celebrated their 73rd wedding anniversary last January, making them the longest-married couple in presidential history.

It does not matter whether we agreed or disagreed with her politics; she served her country as best as she knew how.
