Time to leave......

.....and the best morning since we've been in Moeraki village, oh well that's the way it goes.

On the right we have the famous most divine place to dine, especially if you like seafood - Fleur's Place. I know, it looks old and battered, I call it rustic charm. It's beautiful at night as candle lights flicker and touch the worn wooden walls, warm and cosy, intimate is probably a better word. Fleur speaks to everyone, she quietly moves from table to table making sure things are right, she loves people. Over the last few days she's been training staff, they miss putting the odd salt and pepper on the table, she quietly slips them in and says 'The kids missed this one' and has a little chuckle. Rick Stein has dined here with his TV crew and loved it! He says Fleur's Place is well known amongst foodies - what an honour for Fleur.

On our way home we called upon blip friends Rainie and Doug, it had been 4 years since we had last seen one another, far too long. Rainie and I chatted over our new camera's the Sony RX10 M4, sharing the frustrations and mulling over the settings, certainly a new learning curve from Canon to Sony. The men were most interested as they've witnessed some of the frustrations which we all laughed over. A lovely enjoyable couple of hours was had before continuing our long drive home.

The day was warm, 20C, and as darkness fell gorgeous soft hues hung over the mountains, the road quiet except for the odd rabbit which ran across in front of us, they escaped getting to live another day. Rivers were up probably due to snow melt as the last week has been bitterly cold, wet and windy. We drove up the drive, house lights were on and dinner smelt good, A had been busy in the kitchen, weren't we lucky.

Monday......the best day with friends, a long journey home, weather - warm and bright finished off with a good dinner, feeling so thankful.
