In My World

Shakin' his tail feathers

It was a pleasant change to have a little bit of rain overnight and again this morning. The birds were obviously happy to have some rain to play in as well, and were all out and about this morning, enjoying the change.

I chose this kookaburra for today's blip, as he is showing off his lovely tail feathers. He had come to my garden in search of scraps of bacon rind and spent quite a while there, sharing the rind with the Magpies.

This kookaburra was not my old friend, Larry. Larry and I are very well acquainted and he takes food from my hand; this kookie was very shy and flew away if I came too close to him. Besides which, he doesn't have the same hairdo as Larry!!

'Twas another long and busy day. I will have so much catching up to do when finally I can stop working for a while, but tomorrow will be another full day. I have to get a large number of shirts delivered tomorrow, that I have been making over the last week, then I will have to continue on with the rest of the order for my client.

Please rest assured that I am not missing in action, just laying low temporarily (or you might even say, tied to a sewing machine!)
