Height guage

This Lakeland rooftop looks like it could be used to measure the height of distant mountains?

Maybe not. A bit of a poor weather day - Ullswater waves were too high for the Steamers to sail and it rained but I did see a Red Squirrel ( Extra photo).

I did walk part of the Ullswater way and saw 5 Swallows so that must be Spring with a promise of Summer - What an optimist !
