Spring skies!?!

A cold, windy walk to the library this morning, under glowering skies. At least the rain didn’t arrive until late afternoon. Very hard to believe that tomorrow we’re expecting sunshine and temperatures of 21 degrees…

At this morning’s book group we discussed “Birdcage Walk” by Helen Dunmore; mixed reactions so not one that I would recommend. More interesting was my walk to the library where I saw:

- a young mum talking to her toddler in his pushchair about his book as they went along (a pleasant change from the mum being glued to her phone!)

- a young woman driving a car with a dog sat on her lap between her arms holding the steering wheel (scarily dangerous and illegal!!)

- a woman wearing rubber gloves stood on the bridge sealing something in a plastic bag and dropping it into the river (suspicious and worrying!!!)
