Pasqueflower on the Devil's Dyke

This afternoon Margaret and I went for a walk on the Devil's Dyke near Newmarket. We were hoping that the Pasqueflowers would be out for a photo or two... What we hadn't expected was the lively breeze at home was more like a howling gale on the top of the dyke, it was all we could do to not be blown over!

The odd few flowers were out and I managed to get this photo despite the wind and having to lay over the edge in the rabbit poo for the shot.

The tractor fans among you won't be disappointed with the extra... It's a Deutz-Fahr DX 85 that was helping with some jobs at St Mary's Church at Weston Colville. Manufactured between 1978 and 1982 this tractor is at least 36 years old and must have clocked up many thousands of hours in that time...
