Lozarhythm Of The Day:
The Byrds -You're Still on My Mind (recorded 17 April 1968, Los Angeles CA)
Gram Parsons introduced the Byrds to country music and had a strong influence on Sweetheart Of The Rodeo in the short period he was in the group. Some of his vocals were removed from the album sessions when he left the band, but this George Jones cover (first recorded by Jeff Daniels), recorded on this day 50 years ago, survived, and was the inspiration for Emmylou Harris's version on her Portrait album. Gram Parsons also performed the song with the Flying Burrito Brothers.
