My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter are staying with us for a few weeks in between house moves and bought me these beautiful flowers.

The extra is of the surgeon’s artwork on my painful thumb joint today. My New Year’s resolution to stay out of hospital this year hasn’t worked and I have to have surgery on the joint due to all the cartilage having rubbed away and leaving bone rubbing on bone. I am due to have the surgery next month and will be in a cast initially and then a splint for approx 8 weeks!
