Sparkling Day!
We took advantage of this cloudless day to drive the 80 miles to Homer, at the end of the Kenai Peninsula. The town is located on Kachemak Bay, and the land that juts out into the bay is the Homer Spit.
The town is located between the bottom of a giant bluff and this spectacular bay. This photo was taken from the top of the bluff where 7 glaciers are visible on the opposite side of the bay, which can only be accessed by boat or small plane.
The beauty of this place on a sunny day can bring tears to your eyes.
