Black Pheasant

It's a long time since we first saw a black pheasant at Dawyck but this beauty strolled through the daffodils today, the sunshine enhancing his iridescent feathers.
The more common pheasant also showed his spring plumage to best effect as he strutted around the grassy glades and the extra photo.
