Crazy idea

It’s M‘s birthday on Friday and he is coming over to visit me on Wednesday. We are going to Interlaken for the weekend, but I thought I should get a birthday cake, but one that doesn’t go off. Unfortunately they don’t seem to sell non cream celebration cakes so I had a mad idea to make a fruit cake. At 7:30pm on a Monday night.... it might be a long night.

The recipe is wonderful- a Dan Lepard one I have used several times. I have to admit the flat does smell wonderful.
