Liverpool Street
Around the back of it, with the Nat West Tower in full view and City workers milling around in the distance.
This evening I went to the private view of 'Unveiled:new art from the Middle East' at the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea.
Well worth seeing, particularly Rokni Haerizadeh's 'Typical Iranian wedding' and 'Shomal (Beach at the Caspian). Sparse, considered brush strokes revealing the character of each subject in the act of play. Halim A-Karim's 'Hidden' series of indistinct portraits made an impression.
But most moving of all was 'Ghost' by Kader Attia. A room full of Muslim women at prayer sculpted from aluminium foil. Both vibrant and vacant at the same time.
