Rosy winking statuesque lady with a Manchu

These two are not street performers. For several days, they had to stand motionless at the entrance to a shopping centre to help draw attention to a new block of luxury high rise apartments for sale.

The man is dressed as a Manchu complete with a queue. The Manchus imposed the wearing of a queue on the Han Chinese as a result it was seen as a sign of oppression. This fact is lost on most in modern day China and it's airbrushed version of history. The lady I'm sure was shockingly bored as she winked a couple of time for the camera :- )
