KL Monorail

Kuala Lumpur is notorious for it's gridlocked traffic during peak hours, even though it boasts a fairly efficient and diverse public transport system. As far as rail services is concerned KL has a fairly modern and effeiceint system, consisting of 3 inter-city lines and also the 2 systems linking the city to KLIA 1 and KLIA 2 international airport terminals. The photo shows a train on the elevated monorail system that was opened in August 2003. The line serves 11 stations along a 8.6 km long track.
