Weaving my way ....

.... to, through, and from the  Braid Hills, which I had never visited before (despite having lived in Edinburgh for over 25 years !). 

The hills are a real warren of small paths and tracks and popular it would seem to with (commercial) dog walkers. As with Edinburgh's other hills it affords great views of the city and beyond, even when your arrival coincides with a small shower as did mine.  On a clear day you can apparently see Beinn a Ghlo (deep in Perthshire) - not so today but I did make out the Lomonds.
