Beach Gem

I have always been struck by the beauty of this particular seaweed's colouring. Makes a lovely change from the brown, green, and yellow umbers of the normal stuff.
One usually only sees small bits of this, but today, at Cape Paterson Surf Beach, I spotted this relatively large clump of it.
Just right to go with a superb beach day.
