Figs

I thought it might be useful to record my failing figs, as a point for comparison in future years. They will not achieve the luscious, Lawrentian fleshiness that others have produced this year, see, for example, Ceridwen's fruitiness here; and Chaiselongue's fine basketful here.
There's a great recipe for roasted figs here... I can but dream...
