Coltsfoot

C's birthday today, and we went for a walk in the warm sunshine around Stockbridge, wandering along the Water of Leith and the Colonies.
I spotted these coltsfoot on the river path. I can't remember when I last saw some, they used to be everywhere. So much less 'in your face' than dandelions!
Ended up in the market and bought some interesting cheese. Back home for a family dinner with A and the C's who joined us for cake and pudding!
Well done to A who made the delicious carrot cake birthday cake.
