Blossom time
Spring is springing from one day to another, it feels like nature is trying to catch up, seeing everything is at least two weeks later than last year. Today it was really nice to sit in the garden, sun on my back and watch the blossoms and birds and insects busy in the garden. I sat under a blossom tree and captured the first peacock butterfly of the year (in our garden that is), see the extra. This one branch against the soft green of the weeping willow made me think of impressionist paintings and that gave me the idea for this coming Abstract Thursday's challenge. Impressionist is this week's optional theme and the tag will be AT147. Don't worry about the theme, impressionist abstracts can be made in many ways, for example by using Intentional Camera Motion, by using a home-made filter or an editing program filter. In my case today I've used the ripple filter in PS Elements. Most important thing however is having fun while taking/making your image !
Here is my list of last Thursday's special entries:
tlde for a shadow pattern
kangaZu for a great starry pattern
fitzbilly for a great repetitive view
steveng for a vintage pattern with a great shape
Kimb for the heartfilm of daffodils :-)
Thanks so much for all the entries ! And thank you very much for your kind comments and stars for the magnolia tree !
