Blackness Castle

Took the train to Dalmeny and cycled along the John Muir Way to Blackness Castle. The first time we stopped to visit. The castle is very impressive and we enjoyed exploring it. Then bike ride back to Dalmeny to catch the train home. We got there just in time to find that our train was cancelled due to signal failure. We waited for the next non-cancelled albeit delayed train for an hour to find out that that too was cancelled. Meanwhile the platform filled up with people. We decided to cycle home. Another 18km or so and the rest of the family wasn't too pleased. We did get home in the end and had well deserved dinner from the chippy up the road.
