The ice is completely gone from this part of the sea, and the snow has retreated too, leaving a wide swathe of sand down to the sea.
Before lunch we went round several of the artists' studios in Härnösand, using this "open studio" weekend to soak up a bit of culture. There were some nice pieces but today most of it left me untouched.
After that it was down to the beach. We sat at this table for our picnic enjoying the sun.  Jan was well-wrapped up, as was I, because though the sun was warm the breeze blowing in from the recently frozen sea was not!
