Violets

Today's the day ........................... to take over the world

I spend most of the year trying to get rid of these little violets.  They are on a mission to take over the world and they seed themselves very successfully - in the rockery, in planters, between paving stones, in walls - in fact into every bit of soil they can find.

At this time of the year, they actually look quite pretty and for a short while, you are glad that they have survived despite determined efforts to eradicate them.  But then you remember how clever they are with their world domination plan - and you have to harden your heart.

I'll give them a week and then I'll be out there with my trowel ..................
