Tufted Duck ...

... on Blackford Pond. At least I think it’s a male tufted duck.
DaveH blipped a ring-necked duck there recently so I’m happy to be corrected.

A lovely time in Edinburgh staying overnight with friends in Marchmont. A really good meal made by our friend C last night with some forward planning for later in the year. The weather took a turn for the better which meant that yesterday, before we arrived at their house, we had a good walk at Hermitage of Braid and today, after brunch, we headed to Blackford Pond. We climbed up to the Observatory and had a good view to the east and over the city but towards Fife it was decidedly murky.

Home now and it is indeed quite cloudy with the promise of more rain.
