I rented an electric scooter called the BIRD and rode around downtown San Diego in the morning. Being on the street early in a urban setting exposes you to so many wonderful things - the natural light and the particular texture of back alleys and the exhilarating experience of riding down a street at 7 mph with a cup of starbucks in one hand and a camera on your shoulder.
