Desert Squirrel

Window reflection

The dreaded easterly wind returned today.  Great that it has been absent for most of the summer this year, but today reminded us what the easterly can be like.  We managed to get quite a bit done outside in spite of the conditions, though; lots of mulch produced and spread.

Our bougainvillea has now been re-attached, a mere shadow of its former self.  Sometimes I wonder why we grow it.  I didn't measure the thorns, but they are HUGE!  So disposing of the cut stems is problematic.  They are in a heap in a little used part of our section awaiting decomposition.  Having these thorns in the mulch, which I spread by hand, is a mistake I made only once.

The light is lovely now, but better experience from indoors.
