Kingfisher & Kestrel Meetup

Spent day trying to photo Kingfishers and Kestrels. We split into 2 groups of 3/4 as 1 hide for each bird. We did the kestrel first and over 3 to 4 hrs we had a few sightings. Helped by the mice nailed to the railings. Unfortunatelty the kingfisher group came back, when swapping over, saying saw none all morning.

Though they did see a small owl in the afternoon, as well as the kestrel.

So after 5 1/2hrs in the afternoon with no kingfisher sighting either i was the only one left in the hide. And just about giving up hope one appeared for few brief minutes,  no real chance of any diving or fish in mouth shots, but got a few good perched shots. Think may still qualify for a free revisit, wil see ;-)
