Apple Dookin ( and other messy games!)

Girls spent today at home, Carving pumpkins and playing with Halloween decorations and face paints.

A fortuitous invitation across the road to J's house to Dook for apples.

J has a stunning garden, 2 ponds, a hot tub, and a garden house with TV and music ! No 1 and No 2 wanted to move in.

Lots of messy games with little friends of No 3 and their mums and dads. I got a few crackin shots of apple dookin but had to share this messy game with you. A variation of an old Scottish Halloween game which involved treacle. This one had bread dipped in syrup dangling off a string. The object of the game - to eat your bread (no hands) without getting covered in sticky stuff - my OCD/cleaning gene was twitching.

A great night. Needless to say - the bath was ready for after's and the washing machine's on!
