Master of All He Surveys
This afternoon was free for excursions; we went with the group that climbed the 332m Penyal d'Ifac, the huge calcareous rock that dominates the landscape here in Calpe. I climbed up to the tunnel that goes through to the other side, which was horribly dark, windy and slippery, and then started on the narrow path beside a steep drop - but gave up - too frightening to be fun; Mike and others went right to the top.
I meandered down, taking photos (though frustrated at leaving my favourite lens in Mike's rucksack), and chatting to Sharon, who has moved to Spain from the USA at the age of sixty - quite a woman (and I agree with her politics)...
Apart from that, non-stop meetings; Mike is still in one at 20:30, but I've chosen a bit of alone time to Blip and maybe even lie in a bath... total luxury. Speaking of which, there was an enormous chocolate fountain at dinner - everywhere you looked, you saw blissful kids, covered in chocolate.
(For the record, our hotel is the lower of the two tall ones, a greeny one, to the left of the two tall red-topped ones.)
