Typical chalet in the Val d’anniviers

Another wonderful ski day in the Val d’anniviers, Grimentz this time. Blue skies and nearly empty pistes.
This valley, and particularly Grimentz, is famous for its wonderful old chalets built in the style you see in the photo. Notice that it’s built on stilts, propped up on stone circles.
