Pancharevo lake to Dolni Pasarel

We took time getting up, so it was already rather warm when my student and I started our recce of half the Pancharevo Trail Marathon. Despite the ruins in this shot, the area was very attractive, with views of snowy Vitosha (2200m). We dropped down to the village of Dolni Pasarel, where we had drinks and lunch with A and my student's father, before taking on the bumpy roads and heavy traffic back into Sofia. Tonight there will be more traditional food and drink!
