In the surf!

So, after a decent nights sleep we were all feeling refreshed.

We went for breakfast around 8.30....daughter and Emily were up much earlier, which means we have personal sun bed reservers ;-)

We met up around 9.30 and spent the whole day beside the pool, interspersed with walks down to the beach, the odd paddle, drinks and lunch.

Todays blip is Emily enjoying the surf, with me and Grandad in tow. It is pretty strong with some big breakers, she took the odd tumble, but she was fine! Grandads knee is holding up pretty well, everything considered.

The pool is pretty chilly, but lovely once you're in!! Emily and I had some swimming races and I got cramp in my calf during one whilst out of my depth, proper agony, was desperate to get my foot to the floor!!! This was in between her drowning me with a splashing session!

After dinner, we spent the evening playing games. Emily and daughter turned in around 9. We stayed for an hour and watched some entertainment, a good group singing Motown hits, which we enjoyed, whilst having a coffee and a brandy nightcap, before heading for bed just after 10! Still need to catch up on some more sleep ;-)
