A Shipment of Turkish Music Cassettes

An online music shop in New York is selling their remaining stock of cassette tapes at a discount price. What's even better is that the shop specialises in all things Turkish, so this makes a great opportunity to get to know some of the artists of Anatolia.

Some regard the cassette as an almost forgotten format, but apparently up until autumn 2008 there must have been a demand for music on tape, at least in Turkey. Who would have thought the cassette would live this long?

The package arrived yesterday, but only this afternoon did I have the time to open it. Oh goody, I'm ever so happy that my tape deck is still in top form!
